Isn't this vintage picnic basket just adorable? The plastic plates with the small cavity for the cups, the thermos with the cork, the sugar container (bought with vintage sugar cubes...), the gingham oil cloth interior, the glass bottle, the red metal box. I love it all.
When I showed it to my girls, my oldest asked if we could keep it. I told her that I bought it with the intention to sell it in my Etsy store. "But Mom, this basket looks so much nicer than money..." She's so right. Only 6 months till spring!

Tina, owner of Etsy shop Traveling Mama, recently did a sweet treasury for little boys. I was so happy to see my book "Je me renseigne sur les Maisons" (Let's learn about houses) in a treasury with such a rare theme. Sometimes I feel that the world of boys doesn't get as much attention and that we forget that it can also be cute and adorable. When I was researching ideas on blogs, in books and magazines for decorating my boy's room I couldn't find half as much as I did for my girl's room. In her blog Traveling mama, Tina also speaks about how her kids love vintage. Real little connaisseurs!
