A touch of black, Une touche de noir

For a long time, I've been wanting  to add a touch of black in my kitchen. 

Depuis un bout de temps, je souhaitais ajouter une touche de noire dans ma cuisine.

Since we never got to instal a proper backsplash (to much choices, not enough money, not enough time, etc.) I painted this part of the wall with black chalkboard paint.  I love it! Everything pops on this super mat black and it looks more finished now (before).  It also an echo of the office corner of the kitchen. I don't intent to write on it, I just love the very mat aspect of it.

Puisque nous n'avons jamais installé un véritable dosseret (trop de choix, pas assez d'argent, pas assez de temps, etc.), j'ai peint cette partie du mur avec de la peinture à tableau noire.  J'adore! Sur ce noir super mat tout ressort et ça fait plus fini (avant).  En plus, c'est un rappel du coin bureau de la cuisine.  

If your wondering what's on the cabinet's doors, it's my new trick to help the girls learn their vocabulary word. The words are always there, so the girls can see them and learn them unconsciously.  If it works, the next thing I'll write is "Clean your room!"

Si vous vous demandez ce qu'il y a sur les portes des armoires, c'est mon dernier truc  pour aider les filles à apprendre leurs mots de vocabulaire. Les mots sont toujours sous leurs yeux dans l'espoir qu'elles les mémorisent inconsciemment. Si ça marche, j'essayerai avec "Nettoyer votre chambre!"
